I’m Gráinne. I’ve been a sports and entertainment presenter with Sky Sports, TG4, RTÉ and the BBC for more than 15 years. In that time, I’ve also hosted many corporate functions, fundraisers, awards ceremonies, and gala events.
As a presenter and a producer, I’ve been on both sides of the camera. I’ve also performed music at Fleadh Cheoils and, before changing career, I was a teacher. This varied background means I’m comfortable in ‘live’ environments – always happiest when I’m fully prepared but also ready for any last-minute changes, which can often happen with live TV!
No matter the event, I take great care to research beforehand, and I love crafting questions to help put guests at ease and bring the best out of them whether they’re GAA analysts or gala award winners. My job is to make them feel comfortable, to help them tell their stories or share their thoughts – and not forgetting that all-important ingredient: fun.
Monaghan made me – I still call it home – and after some time spent in Dublin for work, these days I live in the Conamara Gaeltacht with my husband and three children.
